Simplified Management Processes: New Nixu DHCP Server 1.3 Series

Nixu Software has today made a public release of Nixu DHCP Server 1.3 series, the world's first virtualization-ready DHCP software appliance. To streamline and simplify management routines associated with running DHCP servers, the new version of Nixu DHCP Server ships with a number of value-adding features such as more granular statistics utility and simplified dynamic-to-static conversion for hosts. Version 1.3 also includes new features related to intrusion detection and prevention.

Nixu DHCP Server is a virtualization-ready DHCP software appliance streamlining the tedious routines associated with installing and operating DHCP servers. Targeted at replacing plain DHCPD and Microsoft DHCP servers, Nixu DHCP Server simplifies and automates day-to-day management routines while providing a higher level of security and availability. Nixu DHCP Server can be operated as a standalone DHCP server or in failover server pairs providing for always-on DHCP, in virtualized computing environments from industry leaders such as Citrix and VMware. The product also supports remote management carried out centrally using Nixu NameSurfer Suite IPAM.

Being a software appliance, Nixu DHCP Server is sold as annual subscriptions at $495 (US) per server per year including maintenance and support. By automating the tedious installation and maintenance routines associated with running DHCP servers, it offers lower TCO and higher level of security than traditional do-it-yourself DHCP servers based on open source software.
