New Nixu NameSurfer Suite 6 Series: Introducing DNSSEC Support

Nixu has been pioneering the DNS and IP address management industry since 1996. Having launched several "industry firsts" such as support for IPv4 / IPv6 dual-stack networks in 2001 and DNS software appliance in 2006, the new Nixu NameSurfer Suite 6.0.1 is the first DNS and IP address management solution in the world to support DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions).

While DNSSEC is already supported by the latest versions of certain name server implementations such as ISC BIND, the commercial solutions used to manage these servers have not provided support for this security feature. The lack of supporting DNS and IP address management solutions has held back industry pioneers who are keen on beginning experiments with DNSSEC.

Nixu NameSurfer Suite is the market-leading DNS, DHCP and IP address management solution used by Fortune 500 companies and roughly 30% of all 2.5G (GPRS) and 3G (UMTS) service providers worldwide. Nixu NameSurfer Suite 6.0.1 is available immediately at www.nixusoftware.com. The solution is distributed both as a software appliance and as a traditional software binary for SPARC/Solaris and Linux platforms. The software appliance is an ISO image that auto-installs the entire software stack from a hardened Linux O/S to the application layer at the system boot. The software appliance supports all the same x86 hardware platforms as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, and VMware® Virtual Infrastructure as well as other virtualization products by VMware, Inc.
