New Nixu SNS 1.2: Simplified View to DNS Statistics

Nixu Software has made a public release of Nixu Secure Name Server (SNS) version 1.2. The web user-interface of Nixu SNS is now equipped with a user-friendly DNS statistics utility that allows administrators to view and track the usage of their Domain Name System.

As most DNS servers do not provide administrators with an easy access to DNS statistics such as the number and the origin of incoming name queries, organizations may be unwillingly participating in suspect activities such as recursive denial-of-service (DoS) attacks without realizing it. By providing administrators with a real-time view on the usage of an organization's Domain Name System and any abnormal activities related to it, organizations will be able to detect exploitation attempts as they take place.
